tenant in my own home (help)

Posted by Jenny on September 10, 1999 at 20:05:28:

I recently purchased a home it has a 1 bdrm. apt. as well as a four bdrm
main house. I moved into the 1 bdrm side, made arrangements for my son and 1
dog. to stay at my mom's. The people that are on the main side of the house
knew the house was for sale. They were told mid May that there would be a
closing mid June. I for obvious reasons want to be in the main part of the
house.
They have been given 30 days several times and are still here. Along with several
other problems and situations that have arose. I can not have access to that
side without appointment. Rent when paid is late. I still have to pay my mort.
I understand that I have to go thru the eviction stuff. But, do I have any other
recourse since Ownership of the property has lond since changed.
They have no lease. and no ambition. I want to have my family back and get rid
of these darn boxes, that I have been living out of for 3 months.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
They have been aware of the situation for at least 101 days.
I was in a simular situation with a land contract. I recieved notice to move,
and in 53 days packed, found a new home, and here I am. stuck a tenant
in my own home. I might add I have to add to the mortgage. there rent don't
cover that, and I'm in the apartment. Somethings wrong.
