Can someone please let me know if it is legal to break a lease because your job
is transferring you to a new location? My buddy is moving back to NY city
from Boston and he isn't sure if he'll be able to break his lease, especially
since he is in the middle of his current lease. Can he give a certain amount of
notice as well as written proof of his transfer which would prohibit the landlord
from coming after him?
