I live in Queens, NY in a two family house. My landlord recently sold the house and now the new landlord is raising my rent $200 or 30%. Although it is comparable to the rent in my area (a bit on the high side), I paid a broker's fee to find the place and I was planning on living there for a long time. Are there any laws that prevent this guy from raising my rent this much?
