I rented an apt. in Brooklyn in July, 1999. Now I want to break the 1 year lease
because of an uncontrolable roach infestation.
The landord has sent the exterminator to the apt. about five times in the past
1.5 months but the problem persists. Can I break the lease and not be liable for
paying the rent for the remaining months?
