I'd like to know where the apartment is located. Is it in NYC or some other part of NY?
Can it be argued that the landlord's initial refusal to renew was in retaliation for your husband's exercise
of his rights as a tenant or citizen? If you live in NYS, then the retaliatory eviction law
would probably help you.
