Tell them to fix the floor by driving nails through the sections of the floor that creak... Send a certified letter return receipt and advise them that until it is fixed you will not pay anymore rent and if need be you are prepared to take the landlord to court for failure to cure a nuisance which severely diminishes your quality of life in the apt. If they refuse everything , start looking for another apt and move out
