Nope its that they bark, at all hours of the night and they ruin
apartments, I've NEVER had any cat that peed or poop on the
carpet.....but every one of my friends had to pay for carpet
damage because of their dog

I have a really good Idea why not tell the prospective landlord you
will pay at least 2 months security deposit to cover possible dog damage.....

: Does anyone know the law regarding dogs vs pets. I'm having an awful time
: finding an apartment in the NYC area. I have a dog, 15lbs. I am currently
: subletting in a building that I was told took pets. Well, it turns out that
: "pets", according to this landlord, means cats NOT dogs. There are several
: cats in the building and the super even has a dog.But no one else is allowed
: to have a dog!Whats the law say???

: Also, any theories why landlords are so opposed to dogs in this city?
: Mine is that some very irresponsible people have ruined it for the rest
: of us and that the majority of landlords in this city are simply evil people.
: I've lived in several other cities and never encountered anything like this!
