Recently me and my boyfriend have broken up and we are living together in brooklyn, ny.
He wants to move out and so do I. We both signed a one year lease which expires on March 1.
We wanted to move by october 1 and not pay rent for the next month and live off of the security.
What is the worst thing that could happen to us if we decide to break the lease? My landlord is a bit weird and we are not sure what she will do.
Can she sue us for the remainder of the rent??
