If I were you, I would take the position that the landlord is responsible for re-installing legal security gates and any air conditioners, especially if your rent includes charges for air conditioners or air conditioning electricity. If the landlord refuses to re-install them, you can raise the issue in opposition to the the landlord's application to DHCR for a Major Capital Improvement (MCI) rent increase.


: After 50 years they are installing new windows in my building. Is the management responsible for re-installing air conditioners and window gates?
