Here's the situation:
My cousin and her two children have been living in the present coop for the last 10 years or so. She's currently under a one year lease which doesn't expire until the coming year. The owner of the coop has informed my cousin that he has decided to sell and that she will have 30 days in which to move once the sale has been formalized. According to my cousin, this condition is stipulated in the lease.

My question is: how Legal is this agreement? Are there tenant laws that supercede such an agreement? Any assistance in this matter (naming of resources, advice, tel. #s, etc.) would be highly appreciated.
