I BET you dont have renter's insurance!!!!! The damage would have been covered as well as staying in a hotel room untill it is fixed .... come on people its really cheap, i have $40,000 coverage for $233 a year in New York City

: We arrived frm a vac to find our belongs on the porch as well as disarrayed throughout the house. Was later infrmd pipes exploded in one of the bathroom..totally destroying personal property..was infrmd by landlord will not be liable for damage (wear and Tear) we lived in this same apartmnt 7 years.. I sent certified letter documenting loss. recvd letter back stating they were not at fault. (took pictures as we arrived)We also have a flyer that was distributed in our absence stating water will be shut off for pipe repair..three days prior to explosion..Also has info from downstairs neighbor stating he went to office to infrm had leak from closet(which leads to that bathroom nothing was done. Also our apartment has a milde smell because after they dried the carpet they put the same carpet down, although infrmd office of smell, and watersoaked walls still remain as is, we pay $550 a month for this apartment..Please help us..Please Ocie & Sandra Taylor
