Roomates can be charged whatever the lease holder negotiates...FYI, if the lease holder should ever be evicted or vacate the lease you would be out of the apartment..you have no rights to the apartment.

: I am sharing a rent-stabalized apartment; i suspect my roommate is charging me more than half the rent for the apartment, even though it is a 2BR and we divide the space evenly. The lease is in my roommate's name only. Is this legal?
