I've seen court personnel from clerks to judges, display that same attitude towards tenants in apts renting for less than $500, totally forgetting that they moved into a bad neighborhood and their landlords were making a profit at those rates. Because they took the risks, the neighborhood is now safe enough for puppies to want to pay $1200 for the same apt...
You're suing for 'damages' of $500,000 for rent gouging: good luck: what goes around, comes around...
