I'm simply trying to raise everyone's awareness that the knee jerk response to "file a rent overcharge complaint with DHCR" is tantamount to bad advice. IMHO, DHCR is the worst place to raise a rent overcharge claim. I've said that repeatedly on here and never has anyone disagreed with me. I feel like I'm on a one man crusade to get the word out that filing a rent overcharge complaint with DHCR is a bad choice -- because there are other and much better options available for tenants. (And, I'd never say anything bad about you Anna.)
