a few nails in the wall, a carpet a little more worn out (btw, maybe have the carpet cleaned better not to give landlord any ammo). A few paint scuffs and chips. Slightly yellowed bathroom grout.....get the drift? Normal aging and stuff. Anything else like fist holes in wall, pet unrinated floors, cigarette burn marks are considered damage and billable.

Take lots of pictures before you leave...that way the landlord can't fake damage.

: I am getting ready to move out of a rental house and I would like to know what is considered normal wear. There is no damage to the house, just some stains on the carpet. What can they deduct from our security deposit for? Please help.

: thanks
