: is there a place to get dirt on landlord's lawfirms in nyc. I have a specific lawfirm I would like to know if anyone has dealt with and found to be dishonest.

I would like to know too. My LL's lawyers are hostile, violently abusive, and they lie to me, to the court, in person & on paper.

The closest I've come is:
/ in the NY Courts section on NYLJ.com, there is a category called Disciplinary Cases: these are lawyers getting disbarred for violating the Code of Professional Responsibility ( http://www.nysba.org/index.html ethics). Most involve stealing clients money.
/ lawyers/lawfirms are not named in most cases reported online on NYLJ.com, but are listed in the cases in the NY Courts section and in the Cornell database: you can search those decisions.
/ you can look up their education on West http://www.wld.com/ or on Martindale http://www.martindale.com/
/ the best thing to do: mention their name to the Pro Se attorney or to any good Tenant-attorney or -advocate: the sob firms are well-known, as are the really vile LL's.

ps: the process server firm my LL's lawfirm uses is just as bad: they specialize in Sewer Service and perjury.
