Reassesment of Apt. since losing stabilization

Posted by Jon Ulmer on June 09, 1999 at 13:32:36:

Our three bedroom apartment in the west village is supposedly losing it's rent stabilization status and needs to be reaccessed for rent. If any one has leads to information I can get on this process and any rights that may pertain to us tenants it would be great. We've held the lease for five years, have always paid on time and have done no damage. It seems weird that they could just come in and name a new astronomical price and then we're screwed. And if this is the case I want to brace myself for it. Is this the kind of situation where seeking some sort of representation could help achieve a more resonable amount for rent?
