This was to be my second year of a summer rental on Fire Island, but I found out in early May that the owner had rented the place to someone else (for more money) not only that he had my cable and phone switched over to the new renters names (both were put in by me)...He moved out all my possessions under the house where they are more or less destroyed. I had a signed lease and a deposit down. Even though we had ledt it (verbally) that I would pay the remainder of the rent when I arrived for the season, he said he heard rumors that I was not returning and re-rented. Question...I know this stinks...what recourse do I have?
