This depends on where you live but if you live in NY, or MA don't move....it will take the landlord at least 30 days if not more to get you out. Send a rent check for that month and hang tight. If that option is a little too nerve wracking for you relatives of mine found themselves in similar circumstances...they basically put everything they could in storage and stayed with family/friends. Often moving compananies can store the move if they have to for a fee of course....

: I am buying a house and thought closing would be on June 1, 1999, lease experiation date. Closing date has changed to July 1, 1999. Landlord refused to extend lease or allow me to have a month to month. what can I do? - I don't want to be homeless.
