Ten months ago I moved into an apartment with a friend who had no money for the last month and the security deposit, so I paid for everything and signed the lease by myself. Her name is listed in the lease only where it specifies who is can reside in the apartment. She decided 2 weeks ago that she was packing her bags and leaving on June 1st. This leaves me with the last 2 months rent on my own. My questions is... is she not obligated to pay me her share of these two months because the lease is in my name?? Or is it her responsibility because she is listed as having residence here? If she is obligated what can I do about it?
