Unfit temperature (TOO HOT)

Posted by Mike Wood on May 05, 1999 at 03:39:19:

I live in a luxury apt. where a/c and heat is included in my rent. Unfortunately this spring has been hot and they refuse to convert the heat to a/c until the middle of may. I live on the third floor with a complete wall of glass facing west. This means my apt reaches over 90 every afternoon and doesen't cool off till after midnight. They refuse to convert to a/c even under this uncomfortable (and especially unsleepable) condition. The lease agreement does not specify leasor's right to control my heat/ac usage only that it is provided by them in my rent. What can I do to make them convert earlier? I rented this expensive place to have a quiet, comfortable place to live and study during medical school years. PLEASE HELP!
