Landlord Delinquent On Taxes

For those in NY State (excluding NY City, I believe)

NYS Senate passed Bill No. S02369 and it's awaiting action at Assembly A04243, that means that Dept of Social Services will pay rent to the county tax collection offices when the landlord is delinquent on property taxes -- Of course this is only in those instances where welfare recipients have their rent paid by DSS which in turn pays the rent direct to the landlord.

The landlord is prohibited from evicting for non-payment of rent
