Here's the situation:
-Two other roommates and myself
-Lease is over at the end of September
-One of the roommates lives in DC, but has still been paying rent. Now he can't pay for this month, and neither I or the other roommate can come close to covering the difference.

What can we do? Do we just NOT pay rent for May, and then bolt at towards the end of the month, or ASAP?, thereby burning the security deposit?

The remaining $$ due the landlord would be about $13k, but it's a killer pad and we're sure he will rent it out in no time.....what do we do?
