In an unregulated apartment in the City of NY, boro of Manhattan, how
soon after vacancy must the landlord return tenant's security deposit?
I have already given my landlord 60 days notice of intention to terminate
my lease early. Also, if the landlord has failed to hold the deposit in
a NY state bank account in the tenant's name, what rights does the
tenant have to receive an amount equal to the principal balance plus
interest for the term that the tenant occupied the apartment?
