FYI: 351 w14 st has had only one wooden stairway for entrance and exit from the building since October 97. The other stariwar has been "under renovation" since then and doesnt look like its going to be open too soon.
Pre Civil war building and the stairway probably is too. And the steps are unevenly spaced and crooked. There are cracks.
The building inspectors and fire dept have been to the building about a dozen times and nothing gets done about it.
Oh, and there are no fire escapes and the building is 4 floors high so, if theres a fire on the second floor the people upstairs will just have to jump or burn to death.
I guess that says pretty much all when it comes to building and fire instpectors in New York City. Right?
What a bunch of frauds!
