This depends on the type of lease you had...A sublease from an individual: no...a direct lease from landlord with 3 or more units:Yes but not enough to get too nuts about....the landlord is entitled to skim off 1% as a handling fee. Consider yourself lucky if you peruse the list you'll notice that lots of landlords like to keep the security deposit for kicks. That's why lots of people just skip paying the last months rent.

: When I moved out of 250 West 100th I rec'd my full security deposity but no interest. I resided at that address for 28 months. I have written 3 letters and called multiple times - no answer from landloard. Am I due interest?
