The landlord is still responsible for all plumbing repairs. However if the damages are not a result of normal wear and tear and a result of tenant abuse you can be held liable for the cost to repair the damages. Repeatably clogging the drains with kids toys for example is not normal wear and tear. Washers having to be replaced to prevent a faucet from dripping would be normal wear and tear.
