: I run a home-based business out of my home here in Iowa. My landlord refuses to provide me with rent receipts. I have been renting from him since 04/01/98. And I have asked him many times about receiving my rent receipts. He has told me that he would send them to me, well.....as of yet, I have not received any receipts. I hope you can provide me with some advice, even though I live here in Iowa. I know that he has to provide them to me but I just don't know what to do to convicnce him. I need these receipts for doing my books and for my taxes. Please help!!!

How about sending him a United States Post Office Money Order. You keep the carbon copy of the money order as your receipt. Even your check is proof, when he cashes it and the bank returns it to you with your statement.
