In the interest of humanity, just a word from a concerned New Yorker:
BE VERY CAREFUL if you're considering renting in a building managed by the Kinsey Corp. or owned by Chelsea-Village Associates.
Kinsey Corp. has a long-running record (17-plus years) of offering very lovely surroundings at the highest market value.
Lovely on the surface. Give it a week or so and you'll wish you'd moved into the house in "Amityville Horror". Complain and they'll urge you to move (if you can even get in touch with them... they hire receptionists who are very good at screening calls and making excuses).
Points in fact: major reductions in building services, major violations building-wide, and they'll even go so far as to defy the court system.
No sour grapes here. Just undeniable facts.
To see for yourself just how far back this goes, I suggest the following URL:http://tenant.net/DHCR/pars/pars01/BJ410210.RO
Good luck
