Eviction Process

I've lived in the same apartment (not stabilized) for eight years. This past Aug. I took my landlord to court as he was not cashing my rent checks & was trying to evict me for non-payment. Won that and switched to bank checks so the date would show. He was not happy. Anyway I received a notice of termination. I know that he is motivated by wanting higher rent (as my rent is very reasonable) and maybe by anger. It's a three unit & restaurant building is there any way to work this out. Have tried talking to him, but he just wants the place.
