My unlce has a court date for eviction and back rent. My uncle has not paid his rent starting in August. The land lord has sent a notice every month. Uncle received 3 day notice and now has his court date. My unlces only explanation is he try to pay the rent in person, but because my unlce did not have the required 2nd month sec. dep. he did not want any money. I don't buy that at all. The ll sent all the required notices, and now wants his money and eviction. My question is, what will happen at the eviction hearing and what are the consequences. My uncle is not the smartest guy, and I am in the Chicago,IL area wondering how I can help. I don't have any money to send him. He makes about 1200.00 per month. I am worried he will be put on the street. What can I do?
