Take lots of pictures and have the landlord sign a paper in front of your witness that the apartment is fine when you leave.... break lease in writing do not leave without a release of balance due... worst case scenario is you lose one month rent if you can't sue in small claims court cuz you moved too far away to go to court...

but with pix's and him saying it's fine etc the security is yours...... or a win in sc court...
