since the rental was based upon false and misleading statements..the contract/lease is null and void...you have the right to break the contract/lease upon breach of contract with repsect to misrepresentation...since the landlord admitted this then you should negotiate a minimum of a lease surrender and a return of security deposit.. if not then proceed with small claims action...

you would not have rented the apartment had you known that it did not have the requirements that you expressly stated you required... you may even recover moving expenses and lost work due to misrepresentation...
