I would worry about it. That they and the LL have not specified what it is they allege you are doing goes in your favor, but if there is unnecessary noise occuring, then it matters little that both pay rent.

The landlord and tenant is being a nuisance to you, just ignore them, but still be considerate and document any abuse to you.

Not entirely true, a paper trail builds a good case. Policve reports are not necessary if there's other substantial evidence. It may be they are oversensitive or that the LL is giving you the run around, but I would write him back asking him to state exactly what noise if occurring and when it is occuring. If he proceeds with a notice to cure, he will have to provide specifics.
