: Silver, Brunno, Vito Lopez and Mike McKee ARE NOT running for governor, and, unfortunately, neither is Mark Green, who might have made the best candidate.

Thank God none of the first four are running. Lopez endorsed Pataki.

: But Pataki is. We have choices to make, and unfortunately, by sitting on the sidelines, we will allow Pataki (and on the Senate race, his mentor, D'Amato), to win.

With D'Amato v. Schumer, there's a clear choice. But Vallone is just as bad as Pataki. That's our point. There's no choice. And we'll keep getting candidates like Vallone from the Democrats if we keep pretending they are in our corner.

: Recall that it was Pataki that appointed Roldan Deputy Commissioner

[snip]
Yes we know all about Roldan (who really has little power) and Hirsch.

: our goal, our priority, should be to remove Pataki.

We don't disagree, but not with Vallone.

: Tenants have lost all clouts, because the tenants leadership is fragmented,
and cannot coalesce behind a viable alternative to Pataki.

When the Democrats put up a real alternative, there will be support. As long
as some tenants follow the Democratic-appointed "leaders" this situation will
continue. Maybe it's time to get real tenant leaders.
