Hi - I live with 2 roommates in a rent-stabilized apartment. One of my
roommates is in, as far as we can tell, serious financial trouble. She has
been bouncing checks right and left and rarely pays the bills that don't
bounce on time. Our lease states that we have to pay $50 if the rent is
received after the 10th of each month - this has happened a few times b/c
she pays the rent on like the 17th - she pays the $50 too, but still...we
are concerned that her fiscal irresponsiblity is going to carry over to us
as well. Is our credit going to be affected too if she continues on like
this? Please let me know as we have to do something asap about this problem.
