YOU DON'T MENTION IF THIS AIR CONDITIONER WAS INSTALLED BY YOU???? IF IT WAS THERE WHEN YOU RENTED THE APT, THEN NO, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REPAIR IT OR MAKE MODIFICATIONS TO IT...THEY MUST BY LAW FIX IT WITHOUT CHARGING YOU A PENNY.

IF THE STOREKEEPER IS SATISFIED WITH THE SHEETING , WHY IS THE BOARD MEMBER ON YOUR BACK ABOUT IT?? DOES HE KNOW THAT THE STOREKEEPER NEGLECTED TO PUT IT UP ????

BEFORE I WOULD PAY $200 FOR NOTHING... I WOULD BUY A NEW AIRCONDITIONER....

BUT BE WARNED... A RENTAL IN A CO OP BLDG LEAVES YOU WITH NO RIGHTS AT ALL AND THEY CAN REFUSE TO RENEW YOUR LEASE FOR THIS SITUATION OR FOR NO REASON!!!!! AS SOON AS YOU CAN, GO OUT AND RENT A RENT STABILIZED APT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OR YOU WILL LIVE UNDER CONSTANT FEAR OF DOMINATION AND WITHOUT ANY RECOURSE THAT CAN BE SUCCESSFUL FOR YOU....

YOU CAN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTHING AND EXPECT TO RENEW A LEASE IN A CO OP RENTAL.....

GOOD LUCK
