My boyfriend moved out over a month ago and cancelled the rent check after
sending it to the landlord. I payed the rent as soon as I found out. He
refuses to pick up his belongings and pets. I sent him a certified letter
with a deadline to pick of his things and no one signed for the letter
at his parents home wher I sent the letter care of his family. I had to change the
locks because he was comming and going whenever he felt like it. He has a
control problem and told me I have no right to remove his belongings and
change the lock because he is still on the lease. Both of our names are
on the lease but he defaulted by cancelling the rent check.My question is
-can I remove his belongings?He told me he would pick them up on 4 different
occasions and did a no show.I need some good advise!
