That's lovely, but we are talking about human blood, not just dirt.
The landlord should thus consider hiring a professional cleaning service for $100 in the meantime, don't you agree?

: Do not be too quick to be upset over the time your landlord says it will take him to replace the carpeting. New York City is in the middle of a building and reconstruction boom and many people are finding that while materials are quickly available, the properly trained people needed to install those materials are extremely busy. It may take 3 to 6 months from the time the landlord contracts for work to be done until the carpeting is fully installed.
