Rent Stabilized building recently sold - what are my rights?

Posted by Kristin Crosby on June 24, 1998 at 10:04:19:

My building and four others on the block were recently sold. Many of the
apartments, including mine, are rent stabilized.

What are my rights when my lease comes up for renewal next year? Are they the same
as under the previous landlord, with my right to renew? And will my rent
increase be protected (limited to what % increase the administration will
soon determine?) Or will the landlord tell me that they don't have to renew
my lease, or that they can charge what they want?

And, how does an entire building become destabilized?

Thanks,
Kristin
