My landlord returned my last rent check because I did not
include a rent increase which he unilaterally imposed with
one weeks notice.

Since he refuses to accept my check, I believe my options
are to a) pay him the disputed amount and pursue legal
action or b) deposit my rent into an escrow account.

I spoke to my bank, and they had no idea how to set up a
tenant's escrow account. Does anyone know what I need to
do?
