Have you been served with a legal eviction? If not, they cannot get you out involentarily without one. If they do file, you can fight it in housing court. You will lose, but you can tie things up for a couple of months. I'd talk to a lawyer.

Your being in the apartment could screw up her deal to sell. You may be able to use this to get some sort of buy out.
