Are New york college operated housing authorities bound by State Tenant Law. If I sign a year lease with the College's housing authority in New York state, am I protected by the same laws as other tenants or do I give up my rights while I'm a student. This isn't a dorm room. It's a 1 bedroom apartment in an apartment complex that with a 1 year lease.
