Has your dog been to obedience class? A diploma or a "Good Doggie" certification is an excellent way to ensure only responsible owners and well-behaved pets get to have apartments. If all landlords screened dogs and dogs owners this way, there would be fewer "spoiled it for the rest of you" stories.

Contact your local breed association for information about obedience certification that they offer.

A landlord may be more likely to allow dogs if he feels he has some way of screening out the bad apples.

Good luck!
