Has she been their long enough to file a tax return from that address? Does she have a drivers license showing that address? Voter registration? You could also let here put a few of the utilities in her name.

: I lease a rent stab. apt in greenwich village and am living
: with a woman and her 10 year-old son. Since she is not on the lease,
: the local school refuses to register boy unless I have a notarized letter
: from the landlord stating that she lives in the apartment. My landlord
: (actually the mgmt co, ajclarke) flat-out refuses to give me a letter
: saying he has no proof ( he's being a real hardass about it and i dont
: know why). Anyone been through this problem before?

: I need to prove to the school or the landlord that they are
: living here. In the past i have also been flatly refused for adding
: someone (a roommate) to the lease, and i'm also curious whether i have the
: right to add my girlfriend now to solve this problem.
