We recently rented a house on which the broker said we must pay her one month's rent as commission. That part seems reasonable. She has also said that if we renew the lease for a second year (we have an option to do so) we must then pay her one half of one month's rent. We have nothing in writing so I'm wondering if we actually are required to pay an additional fee for extending the lease for another year?
