: My parents are living without a lease since the end of Dec. They are
: elderly and are getting scree. The landlord sent them an incorrect
: lease. My parents put the LL on notice and called DHCR about the
: problem. DHCR straightened out the lease but the LL said that they
: don't have to return asigned copy for 30 days. In the mean time
: SCREE is asking for a copy of their lease. This may unfreeze
: the rent causing an increase which they can't afford. There is so much
: going on I can't even begin to tell you. They are currently living
: on a rent reduction for breaking a prior contract on their prior
: lease. No one is willing to help sue these Bastards. What can be done?
: Where can we get help if any? Legal Aid,The Bar,Senior groups--
: Forget about it.Golds office-Silvers office ;Gold back to square 1 and
: Silver "can't help because not a constituant". ??????????

I'll bet you Silver will help if you call his office back and demand help as a potential constituent of his since he wants to be Governor. Tell him that if they refuse to help you, you will broadcast his refusal all over the net and accuse him of being anti-tenant, which he is, by the way.

You can also call Met Coucil for advice Mon., Wed., and Fri., 1:30 to 5:00 PM at 212-693-0550, of leave me an email with your phone and I'll call you.
