My parents are living without a lease since the end of Dec. They are
elderly and are getting scree.The landlord sent them an incorrect
lease. My parents put the LL on notice and called DHCR about the
problem. DHCR straightened out the lease but the LL said that they
don't have to return asigned copy for 30 days. In the mean time
SCREE is asking for a copy of their lease. This may unfreeze
the rent causing an increase which they can't afford.There is so much
going on I can't even begin to tell you.They are currently living
on a rent reduction for breaking a prior contract on their prior
lease.No one is willing to help sue these Bastards.What can be done?
Where can we get help if any? Legal Aid,The Bar,Senior groups--
Forget about it.Golds office-Silvers office ;Gold back to square 1 and
Silver "can't help because not a constituant". ??????????
