non-renwal of lease. please advise.

Posted by jjohn on January 22, 1998 at 19:26:52:

I have a post office box number. This number as well as my 800 beeper number appear on my checks. The checks I use to pay my rent, for the last four years, (since I moved in) have this information. Landlord refuses to renew lease because my "permanent address" is a P.O. Box. I have provided them with FedTax statements for the past four years, as as well as telephone bills, cable company statements, photocopies of envelopes of "personal" letters from friends/family, and financial statements that show all show the address where I reside, the reside in which management is trying to throw me out of. I love my apartment, the rent is fair and I would NEVER leave. Have recently redecorated and plan to do more. Neighbors on my floor see me once in a while,(it's a quiet floor) - can I be "evicted" because I have a checking account that list a p.o. box and beeper number? I'm at my wits end. Assistance greatly appreciated as soon as possible. Many thanks.
