my landlord is claiming I owe him "extra" money for several things. First of all he claims that I verbally agreed via the realestate broker to pay an additional $500 to allow me to move into my apt with my dog. I offered to pay if necessary but the agent assured me that it wasn't necessary to offer extra money. Secondly, he claims that I owe extra money towarrd electricity for installing my air conditioner. He never told me specifically how much until I received a letter from his lawyer. What are my rights here? Should I file a harassment form? How do I find out about previous problems on file with this landlord? Who is the best person to phone or meet with if necessary? Thank you, Judi
